Roundup Herbicide and its Potential Health Risks
Roundup is the brand name of a systemic, broad-spectrum glyphosate-based herbicide (plant killer) used to kill weeds, the main active ingredient in Roundup is Isopropylamine Salt of Glyphosate. Although it was developed by Monsanto in 1974 it’s now owned by Bayer.
In 2015 the International Agency for Research on Cancer classified glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic to humans”.
Even though Roundup has been linked to cancers like leukemia and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma it’s still the most used herbicide in the United States.
Because of its toxicity, the sale of Roundup Pro 360 has been banned in France. Gardeners and farmers are banned from using the weedkiller as long as it contains glyphosate.
Roundup Linked To Cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and Leukemia
Glyphosate has been or will soon be banned in at least 10 countries, including Mexico, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, and at least 15 others have restricted its use, according to Human Rights Watch.
Individual cities and counties, including Los Angeles, Seattle, Miami, Baltimore, Austin, and Portland, have taken action to restrict or ban glyphosate, as have some states.
Roundup Lawsuits
Many complaints have been filed, stating that Roundup users developed cancer and that Monsanto was aware of the risks their product posed and did nothing about it or even covered it up.
Lawsuits are currently being filed by people regularly exposed to Roundup from frequent use or as part of their occupation.
Anyone exposed to Roundup, Ranger, or Honcho who was later diagnosed with cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, or leukemia can file a claim.
Individuals who suffer from cancer may not know their diagnosis could be related to Roundup exposure, and that they may be eligible for significant compensation.
In 2019, a California jury delivered a $2 billion verdict to a couple who claimed Roundup caused their non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, in 2018 a groundskeeper who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was awarded $78 million.
Although we know that even 9-figure compensation can’t cure a life-altering illness, bring back a loved one, or heal the pain of losing a loved one, it can at least help reduce the financial stress related to losing a loved one or battling a life-altering illness.

Although it’s clear that the health risks from Roundup exposure increase with regular exposure, people can be exposed to it by touching plants that are still wet after being sprayed or by touching their skin or eyes after using Roundup. For decades, the manufacturers of Roundup failed to warn users of the dangers of the product and many people who used Roundup regularly breathed in glyphosate. Anyone who developed cancer after regularly being exposed to Roundup, Ranger, or Honcho may be eligible for significant compensation.
